Together with our cooperation partners, we discuss current key issues, develop and carry out joint scientific research projects, and facilitate relevant and real-life projects for our students. In the spirit of our University of Sustainability, we place a clear focus on issues and projects related to sustainability in all areas of life and study.

Charlotte Fresenius Privatuniversität is deeply committed to preserving and protecting the environment. The private university addresses significant environmental issues such as biodiversity, soil consumption, and overall environmental degradation.

The Chancellor, who is also a board member of the Salzburg Naturschutzbund (NABU), plays a crucial role in linking the university with conservation efforts.

RespACT Austria is the largest corporate social responsibility (CSR) organization in Austria. The organization supports companies in the successful implementation of the EU Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

The cooperation between respACT Austria and Charlotte Fresenius Privatuniversität includes the mutual support of events, experts, seminars, and lectures.

One of Austria’s most successful young companies in the field of corporate sustainability provides our students with exciting, genuine, and real-life projects.

The first project is about finding out how to motivate employees of large companies to attend the sustainability courses offered.

Students at Charlotte Fresenius Privatuniversität have the opportunity to obtain a double degree in cooperation with the University of Westminster. Students can also attend summer school in London and continue their international education.

Wien 3420 aspern Development AG has developed Seestadt, a highly sustainable district for more than 25,000 residents.

The cooperation agreement includes joint research projects, integration into the research and teaching activities of Charlotte Fresenius Privatuniversität, guest lectures, and joint events, as well as the active contribution of the private university to the sustainability goals of Seestadt.

The WOERLE family business has been producing hay-milk cheese in the Salzburg Lake District for five generations. As part of the cooperation, the hay-milk pioneers and sustainability experts hold guest lectures or work on sustainability-related issues directly with the students.

Quality Austria is Austria’s leading company for knowledge transfer, certification, and training. The cooperation with Charlotte Fresenius Privatuniversität includes integration in teaching, research, curriculum development and further development of relevant study programs, the possibility of internships and projects for students, as well as mutual support in the organization of events.

The many activities at the Impact Hub – all from the social entrepreneurial or sustainability scene – provide ideas, motivation, opportunities, and hope for the necessary sustainable transformation of our society.

The Climate Lab, which is located in the Impact Hub, is home exclusively to startups, organizations, and events related to the topic of climate change. Here, our students find a vibrant environment for practical projects and exchanging experiences as well as the motivation to get involved.

The Social Impact Award supports young entrepreneurs in realizing sustainable projects that change society – in 15 European countries. Charlotte Fresenius Privatuniversität provides support in the form of expertise and will motivate students to participate in the award through practical projects.

The founding chancellor of Charlotte Fresenius Private University is a senator of the economy and acts as a link between the requirements of sustainability and the current interpretation and motivation of the climate and environmental situation in medium-sized companies. The partnership provides researchers and students with access to many sustainability-oriented companies.

Of course, Charlotte Fresenius Privatuniversität also cooperates with its sister university, Hochschule Fresenius. There are regular exchanges, reciprocal visits, and joint projects on sustainability topics with students from the various German locations.

Education group

Hochschule Fresenius is part of a renowned education group that can be traced back to Carl Remigius Fresenius, who opened his “Chemisches Laboratorium” (chemical laboratory) in Wiesbaden in 1848. The laboratory also included a school of chemistry where Carl Remigius provided specialist trainings for young people.

    175 years of first-class education

    2023 has been a special year for our education group. Exactly 175 years ago, Carl Remigius Fresenius began educating the next generation of specialists in his chemical laboratory. Since then, the laboratory has grown into a family of various educational institutions – including Charlotte Fresenius Privatuniversität.
